Each year, the last Thursday in November is Thanksgiving Day in America. On this day most of Americans would have thanksgiving dinner together with family and friends. I often wonder about what Thanksgiving means to modern people and what people think the spirit of Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday of the year because it reminds people of the spirit of giving.

As Thanksgiving is approaching, I would like to take this opportunity to thank from the bottom of my heart those who have helped Yunlin Storyteller Association to continue to tell stories which we believe is like giving a wonderful gift and which is one of the ways to make the world we live in more beautiful. First of all, I would to thank God for his blessing to give us the opportunity to continue what we believe is important and meaningful. Secondly, I would like to thank all of the volunteers who do these good deeds without asking anything in return. Thirdly, I would like to thank the sponsors, both in the public and private sectors. Thank you for your giving which enriched every participant』s life. Also I would like to thank the families of the volunteers. Thank you for sharing your loved one to help with promoting fun reading for all ages. Finally, I would like to thank each one of us who participate in our program and projects. Your participations have help to connect people』s past, present, and the future together via stories --the invisible line. And more importantly, these tiny trickles of energy will run like water to nourish people』s souls wherever they go.

Yunlin Storyteller Association is a nonprofit organization which brings a group of volunteers together to tell and read stories to children and people of all ages regardless their race, culture, gender, or wealth to experience the pleasure of reading and to explore the metaphor within the stories. No matter whether the schools are in the mountains or by the seas, the volunteers have been to many kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, and universities in the community of Yunlin and as well as to other Counties in Taiwan. Some of the volunteers are stationed at one or more public libraries to share stories with children and parents. Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive to what we believe in and to do what we are doing.
